About Liz Sumner
My mission is to demonstrate and inspire self worth. I believe that everyone is worthy, everyone has greatness. When I shine my inner fabulousness you may see something that turns on your own. And helping you feel more powerful empowers me.
I'm a supportive, intuitive coach, an empowering facilitator, an organized planner. I'm very comfortable with abstract ideas and also very practical in the real world. I love computers and technology. I'm a talented performer and I have an amazing ability to sing harmony.
I've worked in advertising, communication, distribution, hospitality and politics. I've lived in the Delaware Valley, the Pacific Northwest, and New England. I have a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Oregon, a Masters degree in Organizational Change from Antioch University in Seattle, WA. I'm ICF certified as a Life Coach through the Academy for Coach Training in Bellevue, WA.
I believe that our purpose is to feel joy and power and love so strongly that giving and receiving feel like the same thing. So far I've experienced that on occasion. I don't always feel like my huge, powerful self but I'm learning self acceptance.
My Philosophy
I believe strongly that each of us is responsible for her choices. Choice is power. It is our birthright to feel powerful. It is our natural state to feel self-worth-- something to be realized, not built from scratch.
I am currently the Director of the Career Management Alliance, a professional organization of career coaches, resume writers, and others in the careers industry. How we are at work has always fascinated me. What does it take to feel powerful and fulfilled in a work environment?
It is my philosophy that life works best when we:
- Do what we love
- Love what we do
- Stop doing what we hate
